TAKE #1: 400th Anniversary of the Pilgrims’ Arrival
Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton wrote an excellent rebuttal to the negative revisionist historians on the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrims’ arrival, and I think it should be read every year by every American as a new Thanksgiving tradition:

Sen. Cotton talks about not just the history and importance of the Pilgrims’ arrival and the first Thanksgiving, but an even more important legacy they bequeathed to us. It was the way they organized their settlement, codified in the Mayflower Compact, the first example of the principle of “government by the consent of the governed.”
Its ideas would still reverberate more than a century-and-a-half later when it became a huge influence on the writing of the U.S. Constitution.
TAKE #2: The Resistance Reforms
Some Democrat Governors and Mayors are already talking about forming a “resistance” to Trump and blocking the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
Just to make it clear to the people who voted for them what these politicians’ priorities really are, a new study of federal data found that since Biden-Harris took office, so-called “sanctuary cities” have protected more than 22,000 criminal illegal aliens from deportation. That’s how much they value the safety of their citizens.
TAKE #3: Court Update
After canceling the sentencing date for Donald Trump, New York Judge Juan Merchan granted Trump’s request to file a motion to dismiss the charges. His attorneys have until December 2nd to file it, and DA Alvin Bragg has until Dec. 9th to respond.
Let’s hope he responds by folding his cards and walking away from this case, which did nothing but increase Trump’s support because it was clearly a perversion of the law to try to imprison a political opponent.
The appeals court was almost certain to scrap this entire embarrassment to New York’s judicial system anyway. It’s time to end the lawfare and stop trying to abuse legal powers for political purposes.
TAKE #4: America: Shining City on the Hill
To counter the left’s assault on America and its history, The Federalist launched “The 1620 Project.” Here’s an excerpt about the Pilgrims’ and the Puritans’ experiences and what they contributed that helped make America such an exceptional nation and a “shining city on the hill.” It’s another piece that should become a Thanksgiving tradition.
This year, while we’re thanking God for all our blessings, let’s ignore the America-hating historical revisionists and give even bigger thanks than usual for the brave men and women who ventured to the New World, seeking religious freedom.
Let’s also give thanks for the blessings of liberty and self-government that they secured for themselves and their posterity (that’s us.) Let’s honor their legacy by making sure that we protect and defend those rights and liberties for all so that we can hand them down intact to future generations.
TAKE #5: Deep State Preparations
One picture is worth a thousand words, and this picture suggests that the Deep State would like to erase about a million words. It’s a photo of a shredder truck parked outside the Biden Justice Department.
