As America turns 250, prosperity is hiding in plain sight.

This July 4, America turns 250 years old. That is not just a birthday. It is a reminder.

For two and a half centuries, this country has done something extraordinary. It turned freedom into prosperity at a scale the world had never seen.

Not perfectly, evenly, or without mistakes. But over time, America created more wealth, innovation, opportunity, and upward mobility than any system ever built.

That is why the latest attacks on American prosperity are so revealing.

Some politicians tell young people they have never experienced prosperity. They say capitalism failed them. They say the government should take more control.

I live in New York, so I see this argument up close.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani is a democratic socialist. He has said democratic socialists can win anywhere in America. That may sound bold on television, but it does not change economic reality.

Socialism has one basic problem. It consumes prosperity faster than it creates it.

New York is one of the greatest cities ever built. It was not built by slogans, committees, or government planners. It was built by immigrants, entrepreneurs, merchants, builders, bankers, shopkeepers, and dreamers.

They came here because America rewarded effort, ownership mattered, and freedom worked.

That is the story socialists never understand. They see wealth after it has already been created. Then they assume the government can divide it better than free people can build it.

But prosperity does not begin in City Hall. It begins when someone opens a store, starts a company, hires a worker, risks capital, and serves customers.

That is the America worth celebrating this July 4.

Prosperity Is All Around Us

All you have to do is look around. We are living through one of history’s greatest periods of innovation.

Medicine is moving from treatment to prevention, and from broad guesses to targeted therapies.

GLP-1 medicines started with diabetes and weight loss, but research now points to broader benefits in heart, kidney, liver, and sleep apnea care. That is prosperity most people never see on a stock chart.

That does not mean every early finding becomes a cure. But it shows the power of American research, capital, talent, and risk-taking.

This is what prosperity looks like in real life. It is not only a bigger paycheck or a higher stock market. It is living longer, suffering less, and seeing diseases become manageable. That is American prosperity.

Andy Kessler made this point well in his recent Wall Street Journal column, “Live Free and Prosper.” He reminded readers that prosperity is not an abstract idea. It appears in medicine, software, transportation, data, and everyday life. That is exactly right.

The same story is happening in artificial intelligence. Some politicians want to slow it down. Some want to tax it, regulate it, and treat it like a threat. That is the wrong instinct.

AI is not just another market trend. It is American leadership in motion.

As Kessler noted, Palantir software helped Tampa General Hospital reduce early sepsis deaths by more than two-thirds. That is not theory. That is lives saved.

This is where our American Prosperity Report approach matters.

We are not chasing every AI stock with a flashy story. We are not buying dreams at any price. We are looking for real businesses turning innovation into cash, earnings, and lasting value.

That is our Alpha-4 Approach: own real businesses with strong balance sheets, smart leaders, and the power to benefit from America’s next wave of growth.

Envy Does Not Build Wealth

Amazon turned shopping into a faster, easier, national marketplace.

Smartphones put banking, maps, video calls, and business tools in our pockets.

Cloud computing gave small companies access to power once reserved for giants.

Now, AI is taking that leverage even further.

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, has talked about the coming one-person $1 billion company. His point is simple. AI gives small teams the kind of leverage that once belonged only to giant corporations.

We are already seeing tiny teams do work that once required entire departments. Years ago, scale belonged mostly to big companies with big payrolls.

Today, a founder with a laptop can reach customers nationwide, test ideas quickly, and automate large parts of the business. That is not decline. That is progress.

Free markets keep finding problems, funding builders, and spreading better solutions. They do not require perfection. They require freedom. Free markets require the freedom to build, move capital, serve customers, and let great ideas beat weak ideas.

The loudest critics of capitalism focus on billionaires. They see the wealth, but miss the engine that created it.

Great fortunes in America were built by creating products people wanted, delivering services people used, and solving problems at scale.

That is why envy is such a poor investment strategy. Envy does not create cures, build data centers, launch rockets, improve hospitals, lower costs, or create prosperity. Builders, owners, and investors who back the right businesses do that.

That is the opportunity in front of us as America reaches its 250th anniversary.

You can focus on the shouting, bitterness, and politicians who believe prosperity should be divided. Or you can focus on companies building the next chapter of American abundance.

That is what we do in the American Prosperity Report.

We look past politics and panic, study businesses, follow cash flows, and watch where innovation meets demand. We invest in companies helping America stay strong, productive, and wealthy.

The American story is not over. It is still being written by builders, owners, scientists, engineers, founders, and investors.

This July 4, remember what made this country different. America gave ordinary people the freedom to build extraordinary things.

That freedom created prosperity. For investors willing to own the right businesses, the next 250 years can be even more powerful than the last.
