TAKE #1: Trump 2.0 Spoiler Alert
Some liberals have smugly assured the media that Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Defense Secretary is doomed, with one saying he’s like Bruce Willis in “The Sixth Sense” (SPOILER ALERT!): “He’s dead but just doesn’t know it yet.”
Someone forgot to tell that to Hegseth or to Trump and J.D. Vance, who are doubling down on their support for Hegseth. After having a second meeting with him — plus getting an earful from constituents — Republican Sen. Joni Ernst now seems to be leaning toward confirming him.
There are a lot of ways in which Trump 2.0 is unlike the Trump who came to DC in 2016 with no experience at dealing with the eels and snakes inhabiting the swamp.
He’s wise to their games now, and Democrats need to learn that decades-old sleazy accusations by anonymous sources are no longer a lethal political weapon.
TAKE #2: Democrat Hypocrisy on Display
Lauren Powell Jobs (the billionaire widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and a major Democrat donor) is using her huge inheritance to expand her network of advocacy groups and try to change laws to suppress online criticism of her mass migration policies.
Oh, but don’t think of it as a “billionaire trying to censor free speech.” Think of it as “countering far-fight disinformation.” She does.

Say, aren’t the Democrats always going on about eliminating the influence of billionaires in politics? We’ll say the same about that as we say when they start calling for us to give up air conditioning and eating bugs to save the planet: “You go first.”
TAKE #3: Suspect Charged in Shooting Death of Healthcare CEO
Monday, 26-year-old Luigi Mangione was charged with murder and other counts in the shocking shooting death of United Healthcare executive Brian Thompson in New York City.
Mangione was captured in Altoona, Pennsylvania after staffers at a McDonald’s recognized him from the news and called the police.
He was reportedly wearing a mask and carrying a fake ID, a “ghost gun” with a suppressor that might have been made on a 3-D printer, and a so-called “manifesto” that condemned corporate America and the for-profit health industry.

TAKE #4: Sale Halted
